           Enjoying Your Existing Work More

 

Most of us can't afford to just up and quit our jobs, what with incidentals like rent and food to pay for. That being the case, might as well make the best of the work you already have...for now.

It will also teach you how to enrich yourself and your co-workers through heartfelt acknowledgement.

How to Be Happier in the Job You Sometimes Can't Stand. Publishers description:  A guide to finding happiness at work by making the most of a less-than-pleasing job situation discusses taking control of what you can, thinking creatively about the job, building positive relationships, handling criticism, and mastering stress.

Love the Work You're With: Find the Job You Always Wanted Without Leaving the One You Have. Publishers description :  Finding happiness at work has more to do with an individual's attitudes and choices than it does with the job itself (which is why changing jobs doesn't always make people happier). What The Enlightened Workplace Looks Like

A number of companies are trying to restore "humanity" to Human Resources. These books chronicle the intiatives that you'll find in the in the better firms. Be forewarned though: hearing about what others have may cause you to rage with jealousy or call your recruiter to ask for a transfer!
